A Review on the Heat Pipe Photovoltaic/Thermal (PV/T) System

The Photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) system combines the conventional PV panel with solar collector into one integrated system, which could achieve function of generating power and providing thermal energy at same time. Recently, it has become most promising for building applications. Most PV/T systems use water as coolant, cause freezing problem in winter. To overcome this problem, heat pipe is developed to provide electrical stably without seasonal barrier. Although some published review works have involved type they just stated a simple introduction on it, acting small part their works. This paper focuses independently provides comprehensive in-depth analysis its performance. Firstly, structure operational principles module are introduced concisely. Then features performance different types systems, i.e., integral pipe, loop pulsating presented analyzed. followed by combine other devices. Finally, research gaps field identified, future trends directions recommended.
